Massey University

Dunedin City Council

The Dunedin City Council (DCC) is the local authority for the wider Dunedin area, in Aotearoa New Zealand. It has 15 elected councillors, serves 130,400 people and is committed to embedding the Treaty of Waitangi and sustainability in its strategies and operational activity. The DCC has implemented its Zero Carbon policy and plan and co-developed with mana whenua - Te Taki Haruru - its Māori Strategic Framework. The DCC provides network infrastructure including waste and water facilities, roading, parks, reserves, playgrounds, pools, libraries, an art gallery and museum. The DCC’s services range from registering dogs to urban design, collecting rubbish and recycling, to funding community and place-based groups and local events. The DCC seeks to support and promote peoples’ wellbeing by improving their quality of life, as well as planning for the future needs of Ōtepoti Dunedin residents.

Common Home of Humanity

CHH is a novel initiative conceived in 2016 in recognition of the enourmous governance challenge of ensuring a sustainable future for humankind. A truly global and inter-disciplinary effort, the Common Home of Humanity words to build a global consortium of thought leaders and experts to create the structural conditions to build a new model for just and sustainable global governance.

NZ Life Cycle Management Centre

The NZ Life Cycle Management Centre is a collaboration between Massey University,
AgResearch, Landcare Research, Plant & Food Research and SCION to build capability in Life
Cycle Management by providing education, training and research to LCM professionals to
meet increasing consumer demand for green metrics on products.

Plant & Food Research

Plant & Food Research is a Crown Research Institute. Our mission is to create the world’s most sustainable food systems and to do so while addressing our own sustainability. With our partners, we use world-leading science to improve the ways to grow, fish, harvest, prepare and share food.

The government agency partners with ambitious businesses of all sizes, delivering a range of innovation and research and development (R&D) services to suit each stage of growth. Callaghan Innovation connects innovators with opportunities and networks, and provides tailored technical solutions, skills and capability development programmes, and grants co-funding.
Callaghan Innovation also enhances the operation of New Zealand’s innovation ecosystem, working closely with MBIE, NZTE, NZGCP, Crown Research Institutes, and other organisations that help increase business investment in R&D and innovation. The agency operates from four urban offices and a regional partner network in a further 12 locations across Aotearoa.

The Reforestation Fund

The Reforestation Fund (TRF) is an environmental charity that “Connects Conservation with Consumption” by financing and promoting community-led restoration projects around Aotearoa. Ethical brands pledge a small amount from every product sold on selected items, and 100% of what they donate goes straight to where it matters most. Consumers can vote with their wallets to bring positive change by buying from brands that support TRF. To fund the operating costs, we run an online shop that sells sustainability & eco-focused NZ products, and the proceeds are used for good.

Raglan Food Co.

Raglan Food Co makes delicious dairy-free alternatives that have been taking NZ by storm ever since they started making coconut yoghurt for the locals in 2014. Their dairy-free range now consists of many delicious yoghurt flavours, an award-winning drinking kefir range and condiments too! They are proud to be the first certified B Corporation and Toitū Climate Positive company in New Zealand, pay their staff a Fair Wage, and support a number of environmental initiatives. This is a much-loved brand with many fans!
