Marketing & Communications specialist

voluntary, part-time role

Do you have experience in marketing and communications and a passion for driving change for a sustainable future? We are looking for a volunteer who can dedicate approximately 8-10 hours a week to supporting the development and delivery of PAN’s marketing and communications strategy.

About us

PAN is a New Zealand based charitable trust with a global outlook. Our purpose is to help people, businesses, and governments to operate within the planet’s limits. We do this by using a framework called Planetary Accounting – which helps break down global challenges like climate change, biodiversity loss, and deforestation into manageable chunks so that people can identify the specific actions they can take to drive change.

About The role

We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Advisor to join our growing team. This is a part-time, voluntary role that we anticipate will need 8-10 hours of your time per week. This is a great opportunity to apply your passion and experience to make a real difference to the health of the planet.

Key activities you will be involved in will include:

• Support the Marketing & Communications Lead to develop our marketing and communications strategy

• Support the Marketing & Communications Lead and a small team of Marketing & Communications volunteers to:

  • Delivery our marketing and communications strategy

  • Review, update, and manage our website

  • Curate, post and monitor content on our social media channels

 

About you

Maybe you have taken some time out from the workforce but are looking to keep your toe in the water. Maybe you have already have a job you love but feel you’d like to do more for the planet! Maybe you want the chance to work in an exciting start-up where you have more opportunity demonstrate your value and leave your own stamp on your work. Ideally you will have had a couple of years relevant experience and would feel comfortable taking the lead on activities within our marketing and communications strategy such as managing our social media channels.

You will be a self-starter and a fantastic communicator who is organised, enthusiastic, and reliable. We operate as a virtual team so you this role would suit any location and we have a completely flexible work schedule. While we generally run meetings to suit a New Zealand time-zone we do have two volunteers based in the UK.
